At Orchard Trust, we provide accessible hydrotherapy facilities designed to support people with a wide range of needs. Our warm, fully accessible pool offers a calm, supportive environment that can help with muscle aches, back pain, and other physical challenges.
Our friendly staff will be available to assist and they can work together with your physiotherapist or occupational health to ensure your programme is followed accordingly. We’re always happy to show you around and offer a FREE taster session, tailored just for you.
Our private hydrotherapy pool is £69 per hour, which can be shared by up to 6 people to reduce individual costs. This gives you access to the whole room which has:
- Two changing rooms with overhead hoist in both and over the pool.
- A pool (1.2m deep, 7m long, and 2.5m wide) that is kept at a constant 35°C, featuring full overhead hoisting and a light and sound sensory system.
We also provide trained lifeguards and can support you with your hydrotherapy plan (if you have one), aligned with your existing physiotherapy, to meet your specific needs and wishes.
What is Hydrotherapy?
Hydrotherapy is the use of water in the treatment of a wide range of different conditions. It involves moving or being moved through warm water and completing pain free exercises to help alleviate aches and pains, and encourage relaxation.
Who can use our Hydrotherapy Pool?
Everyone is welcome to use our hydro pool, without age limit. There are many benefits to Hydrotherapy, meaning it can be used by a variety of people.
For individuals living with disabilities or long-term physical conditions, hydrotherapy offers a unique sense of freedom and functional support that is often difficult to achieve on land.
The natural buoyancy of water supports up to 90% of body weight, effectively “removing” the constraints of gravity to allow for pain-free movement, improved postural alignment, and the strengthening of weakened muscles without the risk of falls.
Whether you are managing neurological conditions, mobility impairments, or sensory processing needs, the therapeutic warmth and gentle resistance of the water provide a dignified, empowering environment to enhance your independence and physical confidence.
If you have an exercise plan from your physiotherapist, then we go through the individual exercise plan.
Our Hydrotherapy Pool Facilities
Our hydrotherapy pool is set at a constant 35 °C and is 1.2m deep, 7m long and 2.5m wide. You can have a maximum of 5 people in the pool, but all non-swimmers are to be accompanied in the pool by a water-confident member of their own staff/care team.
The room has 2 changing rooms and overhead hoist in each room and over the pool. We also have a state of the art sensory system with colour changing flood light, projectors and surround sound music and water buttons to enable clients to change the settings themselves.
We have a range of different equipment:
- Overhead hoist in both changing rooms and over pool
- Pool slings in 3 different sizes (S, M, L)
- Various flotation equipment (woggles, ball mat, swim boards, neck supports and more)

Natural Pain Relief
The buoyancy of water reduces the impact on joints and muscles, easing chronic pain and discomfort.
Faster Injury Recovery
Hydrostatic pressure helps reduce swelling and inflammation, accelerating the healing process for soft tissue injuries.
Improved Mobility
The warmth of the water relaxes tight muscles and increases your range of motion, making movement feel easier.
Boosted Circulation
The warm hydrotherapy water stimulates blood flow, delivering vital nutrients and oxygen throughout the body.
Stress & Anxiety Reduction
Immersion in warm water triggers the release of endorphins, naturally lowering cortisol and calming the nervous system.
Enhanced Muscle Strength
Water provides gentle, consistent resistance that builds muscle tone without the strain of heavy weights.
Better Sleep Quality
By regulating body temperature and inducing deep relaxation, hydrotherapy helps you fall asleep faster and stay asleep longer.
Detoxification & Immunity
Hydrotherapy encourages lymphatic drainage, helping your body flush out toxins and strengthening your immune response.
We also have a Rebound Trampoline
Gentle movement and regular activity can play a valuable role in supporting physical comfort, confidence, and overall wellbeing.
Rebound Trampoline Therapy is a safe, low-impact activity designed to gently support balance, muscle tone, and coordination.
Our Rebound sessions provide a calm, sensory-friendly environment where students can grow from their very first bounce into confident routines.
