Sponsor a Tortoise

Sponsor the Tortoises for the happiness of having a purpose

Being able to care for the tortoises is important for our clients who are themselves cared for every day and who feel a sense of purpose in caring for these lovely gentle animals.

Our beautiful young tortoises are slow, placid and gentle, and they love fresh dandelion leaves. They live in a specially built tortoise habitat inside our Rabittarium and on warm days can go out in the Rabbitarium paddock to munch on the fresh grass and soak up the sun.

The tortoises have regular baths to keep them hydrated and our clients and visitors like holding them and helping with their baths and other care needs.

If you are looking for a special present, then why not sponsor our tortoises!

Our Orchard Trust site is home to a variety of farm animals, and sponsoring our tortoises can help us offer a space for everyone in the community to engage with this lovely animal.

With your tortoise sponsorship, you will receive:

• A beautiful colour card featuring our tortoises
• A sponsorship certificate for your animal sponsorship
• Four updates a year about your chosen animals and our work

You can regularly visit our smallholding in the Forest of Dean to meet, feed and pet your new tortoise friends.

Together, we can keep those special connections going.
