Support the Smallholding

Sponsor our Smallholding, give someone the chance to care

The Stowfield Therapeutic Smallholding site gives us a chance to allow people who normally receive care themselves to become carers for the livestock that live there.

There are all sorts of jobs, from collecting the eggs to mucking out the houses, keeping the hay racks topped up and even helping to trim their feet and sometimes giving them medicines. There is a job that is suitable for everyone and we provide the support to let our clients work outside, doing meaningful activities that help us and the animals.

We have a lot of experience in finding ways to support our clients on the smallholding and this was where the Orchard Trust first began over 38 years ago.

Caring for all of our animals is very important to our clients and visitors, all of whom find many wellbeing benefits in being able to care for something themselves. Our clients feel a great pride in accomplishing animal care tasks and making sure the animals and the site they so love are properly cared for.

If you are looking for a special present, then why not sponsor our smallholding!

Our Orchard Trust site is home to a variety of farm animals, and sponsoring the smallholding can help us offer a space for everyone in the community to engage with these beautiful animals.

With your sponsorship, you will receive:

• A beautiful colour card
• A sponsorship certificate for your animal sponsorship
• Four updates a year about the smallholding and our work

You can regularly visit our smallholding in the Forest of Dean to meet, feed and pet your new animal buddies.

Together, we can keep those special connections going.
